Mode Spotlight - TM7 Exclusive
For the first time ever, experience the art of traditional cooking with Open Cooking mode in Thermomix® TM7. Just like cooking on the hob, the mode works without mixing knife rotation and allows you to cook with or without the lid while smartly controlling time and temperature. With just occasional manual stirring you can simmer delicate ingredients like meatballs and shellfish, enjoy thicker, more flavourful sauces and stews, and prepare countless rice and pasta dishes. With Open Cooking, Thermomix® TM7 has dinner under control, freeing up your time for other things!
Similar to traditional cooking on the hob, Open Cooking mode can be set at temperatures up to 100°C and left, without the need for constant monitoring. The mode offers two combined features; cook with or without the lid, and without the mixing knife rotation, with occasional manual stirring. You can also add ingredients and seasonings without pausing the mode, tailoring dishes to your own tastes and enjoying complete culinary creativity. The possibilities are endless!
Busy families who need dinner simmering away while they get on with other things.
Spontaneous chefs who enjoy customising meals with different ingredients and flavours.
Traditional cooks who love having control over how their dishes are prepared.

• To get started, select a time and temperature. The default time is 15 minutes with a maximum time of 5 hours, and the minimum temperature is 37°C with a maximum of 100°C. Note that speed is not an available option with Open Cooking mode.
• You can pause the mode at any time during cooking. Heating will not be interrupted if the lid is removed.
• It’s recommended to manually stir the contents of the mixing bowl every now and then. The frequency of stirring will depend on the type of recipe.
• When cooking starchy foods (e.g. rice), scrape the base of the mixing bowl with the spatula while stirring to prevent ingredients sticking.
• Do not add ingredients above the 2l mark as the volume level will rise when inserting the spatula to stir while cooking.
• To prevent overboiling, do not place lid on mixing bowl when cooking with dairy above temperatures of 90°C .
