Restaurant in my living room

If you really want to wow Dad, send him an invitation to the hottest restaurant in town – right in his home!

Here are a few tips for whipping up a restaurant-style meal without having to leave the house:

Let him choose: Get together with Dad a couple of weeks before Father’s Day and offer him 2-3 menu options so he can pick a dinner he’s sure to love.

Set the mood: Create a playlist of all Dad’s favourite songs to play during dinner. Better yet, ask him to make the playlist himself!

Lay the table: Dust off the best china, use the fancy serviettes, and place beautiful fresh flowers in the middle of the table. You could even go one step further and create a centrepiece based on his favourite hobby! Golf club bouquet, anyone?

Focus on presentation: To make the meal feel special, take a little extra care over the finishing touches. Simple things like a drizzle of balsamic glaze or a microgreens garnish can really elevate the meal into something special.

And of course, it goes without saying that Dad gets a free pass from the washing up!
