  • 170 g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
  • 75 g granulated sugar
  • ¾ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • ½ tsp coarse sea salt
  • 80 g unsalted butter, diced, plus extra for greasing
  • 60 g buttermilk, plus extra for brushing
  • 1 Tbsp Demerara sugar, for sprinkling
