Ingredients

  • (A) 500g glutinous rice (soaked 2hrs or overnight, drained). Marinade overnight in the fridge with the sauces below.
  • 40g light soy sauce, 40g oyster sauce, 30g dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder, 1 tsp white pepper, 1 tsp salt
  • (B) 600g pork belly (cut into chunks). Marinade overnight in fridge with the sauces below.
  • 40g light soy sauce, 40g oyster sauce, 30g dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder, 1 tsp white pepper, 1 tsp salt, 2 drops sesame oil
  • (C) 5 garlic gloves
  • 60g shallots
  • 50g oil
  • (D) 16 dried mushrooms (soaked)
  • 16 dried chestnuts (soaked)
  • 100g dried shrimp
  • 200g water
  • 16 salted egg yolks (optional)
  • (E) 30-40pcs bamboo leaves and hemp strings, soaked overnight and cleaned
