Ingredients

  • 80 g medium-grain white rice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 120 g brown onion, cut into halves
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable stock paste (see Tips)
  • 800 g water
  • 300 g Greek yoghurt
  • 1 egg
  • salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 ½ tbsp unsalted butter
  • 400 g canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained (approx. 200 g after draining)
  • ½ - 1 tbsp dried chilli flakes
  • 3 stalks kale, stalks removed and leaves finely chopped
